I really enjoyed the subject Marine Studies. I learnt a lot and I had the opportunity to make unique experiences like snorkelling or setting up and maintaining a temperate Marine Aquarium.

I had such a good and nice host family. We got along really well and from the beginning I felt comfortable and welcome in the family. I enjoyed the drives and trips we did on the weekends.

The area is just perfect. You have the ocean at the doorstep but you are also in one hour in Adelaide where you have great shopping opportunities.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed my stay in Australia. I experienced many different, wonderful and unique experiences. I am sure I will remember my stay all my life as a perfect time and as one of my best decisions in my life.

I chose VHHS because of the great variety of interesting subjects that is offered (Marine Studies, Photography and Aquatics) and of course the beautiful area that I saw pictures of online and immediately fell in love with.

My host family was always very nice and supported me with all my plans.

I really enjoyed going to school here and especially meeting so many new amazing people every day that I can now call my friends. I’ll never forget the incredible experiences that I gained in the past six months and will make sure to come back as soon as possible!

I chose Victor Harbor High School because on the one hand the subjects (I am very interested in Marine Studies and it is great that you can learn to go surfing) and on the other hand also because of Victor Harbor in general. The area is great, you can see wild kangaroos next to the street and there are great surfing opportunities. Victor Harbor also is a really nice town with a lot to offer!

I also don’t like big cities that much, but I love nature and animals and that is also a reason why I chose Victor Harbor. It is a great place to spot dolphins and whales and you can also see penguins with a bit of luck.

At Victor Harbor High School I enjoyed snorkelling, surfing and all the other outdoor activities, especially Aquatics and Marine Studies.

My time in Australia was simply amazing! A huge thank you to everybody for being so welcoming and friendly. I´m looking back to a great time at Victor High, where I had the opportunity to make some great friendships and experiences I´ll never forget!

I enjoyed every minute here, even when the weather was bad. It was so fun to be part of the rugby team, getting my boat licence in Marine Studies, going fishing, bike-riding and even camping at rainy Deep Creek in Outdoor Education. I also had a nice time at Kangaroo Island. I´m looking forward to visit Australia, and of course Victor Harbor, again!

Thank you for having me at this school for 10 months. These 10 months have become the most enriched time in my life for sure, with heaps of warm people.

There are so many interesting subjects which I never would be able to take in Japan, especially Outdoor Education and Marine Studies. I really enjoyed going dolphin watching, camping and so on. And also, I’ve never felt upset, lonely or sad as I always have many friends and teachers who helped me.

VHHS’s system for international students is so good; we can always talk to teachers when we needed help which was very reassuring to me. I’m glad that I’ve done my exchange here in Victor Harbor. I’ll be back. Thank you!!
