~ Swim Carnival 2018 ~

VHHS students swam themselves and their school proud at the South Australian Secondary Schools Sports Association (SASSSA) Swimming Championships held at the Marion Aquatics Centre on Tuesday 27th February. With names up in lights, heat competitor announcements, touch pad timing and some epic block dive entries it was like being an Olympic athlete for a day! Our students achieved many respectable results, among a super strong field.

Outstanding performances and silky-smooth strokes were displayed by;

Gidget Whibley (1st place breastroke)

Kira Lynch, Zane Gerstlaur, Neriah Milis, Ruby Overall, Che Vermeullen, Carina Bracker, Lachlahn Williams, Jana Rendgen, Natalie Dotter, John Demerau, Neil Smit, Mathilda Meinecke, Sarah Collins, Luke Hartley and Lola DeRosa.

The cheering, sportsmanship and enthusiasm shown by all students and parents during the carnival was to be commended.

A big thank you to Melinda Gerstlaur, Gary Wright and Annalise Milne, for officiating and supporting students at the event.
