Day 1@ VHHS

This morning we welcomed students who looked quite resplendent in their crisp school uniforms. Initially the students met in their Sub Schools at various parts of the school, they were introduced to their Mentor teacher and then moved off to mentoring. Lessons began before lunch today.

At lunchtime we experienced a massive line up at the Canteen which was both a concern and a blessing. The newly appointed Canteen staff will be addressing the issues associated with the line up. It was pleasing to see students using their cards to purchase food and drinks despite the line-up. Shortly we will post the Canteen Price List.

Many, many students brought along their own device today. Although we have experienced a delay in the roll out of the BYOD program students were still able to use their device. A letter is going home this afternoon with your child explaining the delay. I will also send you an SMS to remind you to have a look at the letter.
